Kathy Semanate is a licensed Certified Public
Accountant in Colorado with Big 5 public accounting (Arthur
Andersen) and international experience which she integrates
with her skills in Management Information Systems. She has
been assisting corporations with their Sarbanes-Oxley, internal
control monitoring and process improvement needs. Kathy brings
years of experience providing accounting and assurance services
for a wide range of companies in various industries including
Telecommunications, Construction Materials, Energy, Insurance,
International Banking, Publishing, Manufacturing, Vacation
Resorts, among others.
Kathy has helped companies re-access their infrastructure
and reengineer their operations, as a result of her audit
findings to ensure proper implementation of procedures needed
to stay compliant. Kathy was previously a regional Financial
Controller for an international company in charge of the Latin
American division. As a Manager of Internal Audit and Controls
for a multinational corporation, she established the internal
audit division, creating a system of best practices for 13
of their offices located across Europe, Asia and Latin America.
She has extensive experience in the insurance industry; she
successfully took a small publicly traded company that had
recently gone public and helped it become Sarbanes Oxley compliant.
During the process she was able to design and implement an
automated policy upload system allowing it to manage its business
more efficiently; consequently, the client was able to reallocate
their resources, reduce costs and improve accuracy.
